Dewalt DCS389T2-QW 54v Flexvolt High Power Reciprocating Saw 2 x 6ah

This saw from DeWalt is ideal for heavy duty demolition cutting, and paired with the right blade can cut through plastic, timber and even rebar. It is based on the tried and tested DCS388, and shares the same shell. The DCS389 has considerable higher power output than the 388 however, with 11 percent more, bringing the power up to 1,740 Watts. It achieves this by having some excellent engineering improvements, allowing for both more magnets and more copper windings – giving it the same effect as a larger motor, but within the same size constraints. To handle this power, the internal drivetrain uses a crank style mechanism with counterweight and clutch. Other creature comforts with the DCS389 are the powerful LED work light that illuminates the cutting line clearly, and a well designed ergonomic handle with rubber overmoulding to reduce user fatigue during longer periods of usage.
